With the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram have introduced a special Ramadan weekly pass, offering commuters unlimited rides for just QR30. This initiative aims to facilitate transportation for residents and visitors during this significant time.
The newly launched Ramadan weekly pass will be available from March 11 to April 11, 2024, providing users with unlimited access to the metro and tram services. The announcement was made through the transport service’s social media channels, inviting commuters to take advantage of the pass and explore various events happening around town during Ramadan.
The pass offers an affordable and convenient way for individuals to attend Ramadan events, including night bazaars, Islamic classes, and sports activities, by providing unlimited transportation for seven days. Interested individuals can purchase the Ramadan Weekly Pass from Travel Card vending machines located at all metro and tram stations.
In addition to the special pass, Qatar Rail has also announced extended operating hours for the metro and tram services during Ramadan. Starting from Saturday to Thursday, the services will operate from 6 am to 1 am, allowing commuters to travel early in the morning and late at night. On Fridays, the services will commence from 2 pm until 1 am, accommodating the different schedules and activities typically associated with the weekend.
