The Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) has announced its new strategy for 2025-2028, launched by the Minister of Social Development and Family, HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi. This initiative aligns with Qatar’s national and sectoral goals, contributing to the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The strategy focuses on fostering innovation, enhancing institutional performance, and providing sustainable health services. It was developed after an in-depth analysis of stakeholder needs and benchmarking with similar global organizations.
The core mission of the QCS is to raise awareness about cancer prevention and provide financial, psychological, and educational support for patients, survivors, and their families. This comprehensive plan also emphasizes the importance of professional development and scientific research in improving cancer care.
HE Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of QCS, expressed pride in this significant step, highlighting the increasing health challenges that necessitate better healthcare services and patient support. The strategy is guided by key national frameworks, including the National Health Strategy 2024-2030 and the Qatar Cancer Plan 2023-2026, emphasizing prevention, early detection, and care improvement.
