Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber, has been appointed as the First Vice President of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ghorfa).
This announcement was made during the General Assembly meeting held in Berlin, which followed a joint session of the Executive Office and Board of Directors.
The Qatar Chamber delegation, led by Sheikh Khalifa, included notable members such as Dr. Khaled bin Klefeekh Al Hajri, Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli, and Acting General Manager Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansori.
The team participated in the 27th Arab-German Economic Forum, which took place from June 3rd to 5th.
The forum’s theme, “Doing Business with Impact: The Art of Building Lasting Connections,” emphasized the importance of sustainable and impactful business practices.
It was organised by the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Federation of Arab Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The forum featured a diverse array of speakers. Representatives from Qatari entities such as the Ministry of Municipality, Qatar Free Zones, and Qatar Tourism also took part, underscoring the event’s comprehensive scope.

In his remarks, he noted that Arab-German trade reached €62 billion in 2023, a significant increase from €51 billion in 2022, marking a 20% growth.
