Sheikh Abdulaziz Saoud Al Thani inaugurated the new Bravo Trading WLL cricket showroom and sports café at Doha Mall on 1 January, with diplomats and community leaders joining the opening of what is being positioned as a dedicated cricket-focused retail and viewing destination.
The inauguration was attended by His Excellency Vipul, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State of Qatar, and His Excellency Safraz Ahmad Shadood, Ambassador of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana to Qatar. Mr Mafaz Mohideen, former Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Qatar, was also present.
Sports and community leaders attend opening
Sheikh Abdulaziz Saoud Al Thani attended the inauguration in his capacity as President of the Qatar Cricket Association, alongside senior representatives from Doha’s diplomatic and community circles.
Also attending were Engineer Anwor Hossain Akon, President of the Bangladesh Community in Qatar, and families of students from Bravo Cricket Academy. Doha Mall management was represented by General Manager Hakan Altin.
Retail and digital cricket experiences introduced
The newly opened Bravo outlet combines a cricket equipment and merchandise showroom with a sports café and digital cricket experiences. The ground floor is dedicated to cricket retail, while the mezzanine level features a virtual cricket facility, allowing visitors to participate in simulated gameplay using digital platforms.
The café is designed as a viewing and social space for sports fans, with live screenings of cricket matches and a menu focused on lighter, health-oriented food options.
Live screenings and private bookings planned
The venue will host live broadcasts of major cricket fixtures and offers the option for private group and corporate bookings for match viewings, positioning the space as both a commercial outlet and a community gathering point for cricket enthusiasts.
Reflecting cricket’s growing presence in Qatar
Cricket continues to gain traction in Qatar through academies, grassroots participation and community engagement, supported by the Qatar Cricket Association and expatriate communities. The opening of a dedicated cricket showroom and sports café highlights the sport’s expanding footprint within Qatar’s broader sports and leisure landscape.
Bravo Trading said the concept aims to bring together retail, hospitality and fan engagement in a single venue, catering to players, families and supporters of the sport.
