Qatar Airways has acquired a 25% stake in the South African private carrier Airlink, as announced on Tuesday. The airlines did not reveal any financial details of the transaction.
Airlink, based in South Africa, serves over 45 destinations across Southern and East Africa. This investment will strengthen the existing code-share agreement between the two airlines. Currently, Qatar Airways operates flights to 29 African destinations.
