The Qatar Financial Centre has officially relocated its headquarters to Lusail Boulevard, completing the transition of all operations to its new premises and marking a new phase in its long-term growth strategy.
The move places QFC at the centre of Lusail, one of Qatar’s fastest-growing business districts, designed around smart city and sustainability principles. The new headquarters spans approximately 6,200 square metres and is intended to support operational efficiency while enhancing services provided to licensed firms and stakeholders.
According to QFC, the relocation brings the Centre closer to key financial and professional institutions, reinforcing its role as an onshore platform for companies operating in Qatar and the wider region. Lusail’s modern infrastructure and connectivity are expected to strengthen client engagement and support the Centre’s expanding mandate as Qatar’s financial and business ecosystem continues to mature.
QFC operates under its own legal, regulatory, and tax framework, allowing up to 100 percent foreign ownership, full repatriation of profits, and a corporate tax rate of ten percent on locally sourced profits. It hosts a wide range of financial and non-financial services firms active across banking, asset management, consulting, fintech, and professional services.
Why this matters for Qatar
The relocation aligns with Qatar’s broader economic diversification and urban development plans, positioning QFC within a district designed to attract international firms, talent, and investment. As Lusail develops into a major commercial hub, QFC’s presence is expected to support the growth of high-value financial and professional services in the country.
