Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), part of the Qatar Foundation, has recently wrapped up its highly anticipated Summer Internship Bootcamp program. This initiative aimed to ignite technological innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among university students in Qatar.
Running from June to August, the program offered participants hands-on experience and the chance to interact with various companies and startups housed within QSTP.
The Summer Internship Bootcamp saw an impressive response, with over 800 applicants vying for a place. From this pool, 40 students were selected, representing six universities and hailing from 13 different nationalities.
This diverse group of young talents engaged in a comprehensive experience designed to cultivate their skills and broaden their perspectives.
Insights from the Innovation Director
Hayfa Al Abdulla, Innovation Director at QSTP, emphasized the program’s focus on skill development. “At QSTP, our priority is to cultivate essential technical and entrepreneurial skills that empower young individuals to make a significant impact on society. Notable experts led these sessions, including Dr. Saif Al-Kuwari from the Qatar Center for Quantum Computing at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Nayef Al-Ibrahim, CEO of Ibtechar, and Ramzan Al-Naimi, Founder of Innovation Café.
These workshops were instrumental in boosting participants’ knowledge and skills in innovation and technology. They also strengthened networking opportunities, fostering collaborations and enhancing problem-solving capabilities.
