The 20th edition of Project Qatar, the largest trade exhibition specializing in construction materials, equipment, and technologies in Qatar, will take place from May 27 to 30, 2024, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
Held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) in partnership with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), this year’s event promises to be a landmark occasion in the construction sector.

Organized by IFP Qatar, a leading events organizer in the region, Project Qatar 2024 will attract 250 companies, including 120 international firms from 25 countries and 130 Qatari companies.

Haidar Mshaimesh, General Manager of IFP Qatar, emphasized the exhibition’s role in fostering growth, and innovation and shaping the future of construction in Qatar.

Reflecting on the evolution of Project Qatar, Mshaimesh noted a shift in focus towards sustainability and smart technology. “Previously, the event was about size, catering to Qatar’s mass development needs. Now, we are more focused on quality versus quantity, in line with market requirements,” he explained.
The exhibition will emphasize sustainable, eco-friendly, and smart technology in the construction and manufacturing sectors, aligning with Qatar’s commitment to a greener future.
A Multi-Themed Conference
This year’s event will feature a four-day multi-themed conference, with each day dedicated to specific topics. On the first day, discussions will centre on investment opportunities in Qatar’s construction and infrastructure sector, with speakers from the MoCI, Ministry of Transport, and Invest Qatar.
The second day, in partnership with the Gulf Organisation for Research and Development (GORD), will focus on sustainability and climate change. The third day, organized in collaboration with the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), will delve into Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing.
The final day will address the development of smart cities, showcasing cutting-edge innovations and trends.

Hamad Mohammed Al Nasr, Assistant Director of Trade Development and Investment Promotion at MoCI, highlighted the crucial role of international trade exhibitions in promoting trade exchange locally and internationally.
